Welcome to my site.
It’s always a bit of a challenge to write something about yourself. What grabs my attention and always has, are strong images, paintings, sculptures that show the many different and powerful facets of everyday life. Life really is about moments to me and as much as I do photography for myself, I do it for you.
At 62, I’ve worked part time for decades so that I can live my true passion, photography. I’ve had a camera in my hands for 37 years and I’ve been published a bit, exhibited and have done the entire gamut of social media, websites etc. From time to time I teach photography which is something that I really enjoy. I have to thank my former wife for the gift of my first camera, a Yashica back on my 25th birthday.
Ottawa is my hometown and I can’t say enough about how this city has grown into a wonderful place to take pride in.
I do not do Facebook, Twitter, Youtube or any social media. Sorry. Their algorithms have been modified to the extent that my website does not get listed anywhere. God knows I’ve tried. What’s also clear is that people no longer comment and that having an opinion is now a bad thing. The end result is that for now, given today’s climate, I’ll simply post photographs. I have thousands to go through and will add photographs gradually. I thank you for your time and patience.
To my friend Donna for believing that one can cast wishes across the water, thank you. Such beliefs inspire the muses of creativity. Such beliefs, inspire me. Life is magic.
This site is dedicated to my cousin Diane who passed away at 74 on September 27th, 2019.
